Like most of America the highlight of our last week was Tiger King on Netflix. The addicting lifestyle of tiger people helped us realize there are certainly more beneficial ways to spend our time than binge watching Netflix.

  1. Stay Home

Do you like to be trapped in your house? No… nope, who does? Unfortunately, it is undeniably so important to stay home now. Everybody needs to practice social distance, hand washing, and be cognizant of their actions. In doing so, we shouldn’t be stuck at home for months on end. We need to work together to end this quickly and successfully, it’s important that we stay in in an attempt to stop the spread.

  1. Talk to Your Loved Ones

This is a great time to reconnect with people who are close to you. In fact, this may be the only time in you whole life where the world is moving so slowly. Take advantage of this time, if you have kids, a spouse, a girlfriend or boyfriend, or any family members or friends you’ve lost touch with, reconnect. Use this unstructured and unknown time to find positivity in your relationships, grow them, and rekindle them. There are so many mediums to reach out safely… so call your grandma and tell her you’re thinking about her.

  1. Read

We all want to get better at something, reading is much healthier than sitting down and staring at the TV for 7 hours. Your brain while you read is active, it’s connected and developing, and also reducing stress. Who wants to watch the news right now anyway?

  1. Cook

Look I know your hungry, you were looking at food on our Instagram @pgh.foodbrewsviews so fire up the stove and get cooking. Don’t want to go to the store? Local restaurants around Pittsburgh are doing grocery delivery and pickup. Scratch Food and Beverage offers (pay what you can) groceries and food, it’s amazing what our neighbors in Pittsburgh will do.  Support local businesses, your local Walmart will get through this, your local family owned spots might not.

  1. Walk

We’ve been walking everyday, after you sit inside for hours it’s important to get up and move. There are many walking trails around the city. Pittsburgh also has a so many urban hiking environments, staircases, and bridges, the most unexpected places in your neighborhood could be some of the coolest attractions.
